I have been photographing the Venter family for years: their engagement, their wedding, and now the arrival of their first baby, Isla.
For this session they wanted a clean studio feel without dragging a six-month-old across Manhattan, so I brought the studio to them. A full backdrop and lighting setup inside their Midtown apartment meant no travel and no schedule stress, which counts for everything with a six-month-old.
We kept it simple: white backdrop, soft light, and the three of them playing. These are the kind of images that never date.
