We had an hour of golden light, a picnic blanket, and a giant gold balloon shaped like a number one. With a one-year-old the job is to give a little direction and then get out of the way: the best frames are the ones nobody posed.
The fall color did the rest. The result is a set of photographs that feel like the day itself: warm, playful, and completely her.
