Mrunmayi and Atharva were in New York for the July 4th weekend and wanted engagement photos that felt like the city: Central Park, the Upper West Side, and a proper New York backdrop behind them.
The day did not go to plan. Holiday traffic, made worse by the FIFA World Cup, put them about two hours behind, and they reached the park with roughly half our window left. I had another session booked straight after, so we worked fast through a first set, then they waited for me to come back and finish the shoot properly once I was free.
It was worth the wait. They had put real thought into their outfits, and it carries through the whole gallery. We moved from the grand staircase to Bow Bridge, down to the lake with the San Remo towers standing over the water, then out onto Central Park West to end the evening on the street.
