NYC Couples & Engagement Photographer

Everyone says this, including the couples in the photos on this page. I shoot candid and lightly directed, so you are never held in a pose waiting for a shutter. I give you something to do, like walking, talking, getting a coffee, or telling me the story of how you met, and I photograph what happens in between. The first ten minutes feel strange and then you forget I am there. There is more on this in how to feel natural in front of the camera.

That depends on the two of you. Brooklyn Bridge Park and DUMBO give you the skyline and the bridges, Central Park gives you trees and quiet corners, the West Village and Williamsburg give you stoops, brownstones, and street life, and Grand Central and the steps of the Met give you the city at its most cinematic. The Mini is 30 minutes at one location in one outfit, and you get 15 or more edited images. The Standard is 60 minutes with one or two outfits, one or two locations, and 50 or more edited images, plus a planning call and a mood board before the day. The Extended gives you 90 minutes and 75 or more edited images. Most couples book the hour because an hour lets you move between two neighbourhoods and settle in properly.

Yes, and they run exactly like a 60-minute couples session. If you want to use the photos for save the dates, tell me when you book so we leave room in the frames for text. The hour before sunset is the softest light of the day and it is the most requested slot, so it books first. There is a guide to golden hour in NYC with the times through the year. If the forecast turns, tell me. I am glad to reschedule outdoor shoots for weather, and light rain is often worth keeping, because umbrellas, wet pavement, and awnings make good photos.

Generally within five to seven business days and always within 14. They arrive as high-resolution JPGs in a private online gallery that you can download, share with family, and order prints from directly. Raw files are not included.
